School Admission Application Announcement 

Applications are now open for the Associate Degree in Social Science at Karenni College of Social Sciences for the academic year 2026-2027. It is very important to complete the application form fully. This program does not require payment of school fees.
Applications can be submitted online or the application forms can be requested from the following organizations:
Department of Education - Karenni State Administration Council
 Township Education Offices
 Department of Youth Affairs - Karenni State Administration Council
 Office of Literature and Cultural Affairs
 Kayaw Youth Organization (KwYO)
 Karenni State Student Union (KSSU)
 Kayan New Generation Youth (KNGY)
 Spring Gurulei
The information for applying is as follows:
Who can apply
 Educational Qualification - Those who have completed high school (old system Grade 10 or new system Grade 12), those who will attend university, or university CDM students.

 Ages between 18 and 25 years old
 Those born and raised in Karen State, who have lived in Karen State for at least three (3) years during the revolutionary period, and those living in refugee camps and displaced persons camps along the Thailand-Karen border
 Those who can commit to an 18-month training period
 Those who can contribute back to the Karen region for at least one year after completing the program
Basic knowledge of English (having pre-intermediate level is a plus)
Encouraging former revolutionaries, women, and youth who lost limbs during the revolutionary period to apply

 Required documents for application
 Completed application form
 A letter of consent from a parent (or guardian) or, if part of an organization, a confirmation letter from the organization allowing school application
 High school completion certificate or confirmation of high school completion

 Training period
From March 2026 to August 2027
Foundation Course for 6 months and regular training

Admission Screening Steps  
Step 1 - Review of application forms  
Step 2 - Admission examination (testing English, general knowledge, and critical and analytical thinking)  
Step 3 - Face-to-face interview  
Step 4 - Admission granted

Application deadline: January 31  
Announcement of candidates eligible for the written exam: February 7  
Written exam dates: February 9, 10, 11, 12  
Announcement of candidates eligible for the interview: February 15  
Interview dates: February 17, 19, 21, 22  
Announcement of admitted students: February 25  
Reporting to the college: March 2
